The fate of the eight migrants who killed a schoolboy in Chelyabinsk has become known
The Chelyabinsk Region Court has sentenced eight migrants accused of murdering a 17-year-old teenager.
The defendants received sentences ranging from 4.5 to 18 years in prison .
The incident occurred in April 2023 due to a conflict between youth groups, RIA Novosti writes.
The initial meeting, and then the fight, took place near the Cosmos shopping center.
One of the accused hit the victim at least five times and fled.
Later, the two groups met again in a shopping center parking lot. One group threw sticks and rocks at the other.
The accused caught up with one of the fleeing teenagers and fatally stabbed him.
The court sentenced him to 18 years of imprisonment in a maximum security penal colony.
Two people involved in the beating received 14 years each.
The fourth defendant was sentenced to 9.5 years in a general regime penal colony, given his minor age.
Two men received 5.5 years each, and two minors received 5 years and 4.5 years, respectively.
The court decided that the four defendants must pay the relatives of the deceased 1,250,000 rubles each.
