Kamnev* pleaded guilty in the case of participation in the At-Takfir wal-Hijra association**, TASS reports with reference to a representative of the Southern District Military Court.
He also confessed to preparing an explosion at the building of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city of Kislovodsk.
The radical had previously received 9 years in prison for causing serious bodily harm to a person, resulting in death, as well as hooliganism.
He was shot in the head during the hostage-taking in the Rostov pretrial detention center on June 16, but survived. He was recently released from the hospital.
He is being held in custody while the investigation is ongoing. Of all the participants in the hostage taking, he is the only survivor in the pretrial detention center.
He planned to blow up the building of the OMVD in Kislovodsk in 2021. He made explosives, but was detained before committing the crime.
