Surgut to inspect boarding house after reports of abuse of elderly people
Investigators have launched an investigation into information about the cruel treatment of residents by employees of a private boarding house in Surgut.
The actions of the institution's management and employees will be assessed by the Investigative Committee.
According to a message from the regional press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation on its Telegram channel, the inspection was organized after information about violations appeared on social networks.
It was reported that elderly people were not allowed to go outside and that staff members would raise their voices at elderly residents.
In addition, the institution did not meet the conditions for comfortable living for elderly people.
Based on the results of the inspection, a procedural decision is planned to be made.
