Stavropol deputy accused of attempted fraud
The crime of which a Stavropol deputy is accused has become known.
The official is suspected of attempted fraud on an especially large scale.
The relevant information was published on the official website of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Stavropol Krai.
The investigation established that in July 2024, the Stavropol deputy became aware of the criminal prosecution of one of the former officials.
The latter was taken into custody as part of the criminal case.
The deputy offered his assistance in the release for a reward of 50 million rubles.
For the above-mentioned sum, the official promised to change the measure of restraint to house arrest, and then completely stop the criminal prosecution of the former official.
However, the man filed a complaint with the police, and on July 29, the Stavropol deputy was caught red-handed. A meeting was scheduled, during which the defendant in the case received cash and dummies, after which he was taken into custody.
During the searches, the involvement of two other individuals was also established.
