Sick man brought to bank in hospital bed for money transfer
A seriously ill Chinese man was taken to a local bank branch by his family in a hospital bed to verify his identity for a money transfer.
Despite providing evidence of hospitalization, relatives were denied access to the client's account.
The relative had to put the man on a hospital bed and bring him to a bank in Shandong province, Oddity Central writes.
This was the only way to confirm his identity in person.
The bank demanded that the account owner be brought in person, despite his illness and hospitalization.
The man was so weak that he could not move without assistance. However, this evidence did not convince the bank employees.
The patient's relatives urgently needed money for his treatment. So they had to pick him up from the hospital to take him to the bank.
The bank could have made an exception for the elderly man, but decided not to take that step.
