It has become known why security forces raided the home of 73-year-old former deputy Valery Draganov.
Information about a visit by law enforcement officers to a former member of the Russian parliament has been confirmed.
On Tuesday, July 9, security forces conducted searches in Draganov’s house,RIA Novosti reports.
The operational event was organized in Krasnogorsk, near Moscow, where the former deputy lives.
The agency, citing its source in law enforcement agencies, claims that the searches are preliminarily connected with the Russian Drilling Corporation.
It is possible that the searches were carried out due to non-payment of taxes. However, the source did not provide information about Draganov's procedural status.
A member of United Russia, Draganov was born in 1951 in Stalino (now Donetsk). He served in the State Duma during the third, fourth and fifth convocations.
