The Sourya Airlines plane was carrying technical specialists from the airline, Kathmandu airport authorities said, Kathmandu Post reports.
The plane crashed at Tribhuvan Airport with 19 people on board, authorities said. A fire broke out after the crash.
The plane was heading to Pokhara with nineteen specialists, including the crew.
The crash occurred during a flight to the country's second most populous city, the tourist capital of Nepal.
The police arrived at the scene.
Fire crews have begun rescue operations.
