Sakhalin Prosecutor's Office to Investigate Fact of Showing Abortion Video to Schoolchildren
The Sakhalin Region Prosecutor's Office reported that an investigation had been initiated into the fact that a video of an abortion had been shown to schoolchildren.
It is indicated that the corresponding incident occurred in one of the schools in the city of Okha.
The official website of the regional prosecutor's office reports: "The video showed the process of terminating a pregnancy."
It is emphasized that law enforcement officers intend to assess the legality of school staff's compliance with the norms of the law on education.

The Sakhalin Region Ministry of Health has expressed its opinion regarding this incident.
As the department indicated, showing the video about abortion to schoolchildren was not pre-approved.
The police added: “The regional Ministry of Health has stressed the importance and necessity of following ethical standards during any preventive measures.”
