A 45-year-old tourist from Russia died while on holiday in India.
The incident took place at a hot spring in the mountainous region of Uttarakhand state.
On the evening of November 23, Tatyana L. went to the source, The Times of India writes, citing CCTV footage.
After that, no one saw her alive. The woman's body was found in the water the next day.
There are two main versions being considered: poisoning by toxic gas or a heart attack.
It is noted that the Russian woman arrived in India about a month ago with friends from the Russian Federation and Lithuania.
Here Tatyana visited spiritual places, meditated and engaged in other similar practices.
The woman visited the hot spring three times a day to perform special rituals.
The tourist's body is being cremated according to local traditions, her friends said.
