Russian man stood up for woman at metro and was killed by her companion
Samara investigators have completed the investigation of a criminal case against a local resident.
Details were reported on Tuesday, September 10, on the Telegram channel of the Russian Investigative Committee for the region.
The incident occurred on the night of December 15, 2023.
A 35-year-old resident of the Saratov region was walking with an acquaintance past the Pobeda metro station.
There he saw a couple arguing. The woman asked the Saratov resident for help. The man stood up for the Russian woman and wanted to call her a taxi so that she could go home.
This angered her 45-year-old companion, who pulled out a knife and stabbed the defender.
After the crime, the perpetrator fled, but was subsequently detained and placed under arrest.
A resident of a neighboring region did not survive. Eyewitnesses to the incident called an ambulance, but they were unable to save the Russian.
Law enforcement officers have completed the investigation and now the Samara resident will be tried for the murder of a person.
