Russian citizens who tried to escape criminal prosecution in Russia were detained in Abkhazia

It has become known about the detention of Russian citizens that took place in Abkhazia.

Two Russians tried to hide from justice in the country and then go to Georgia.

This incident was reported on the official website of the State Security Service of Abkhazia.

As the State Security Service officers established, citizens Pavel Koptsev and Vladislav Lisov used forged documents in order to enter the territory of Abkhazia.

Both Russians were fleeing criminal prosecution in Russia and intended to proceed to Georgia after Abkhazia.

According to investigators, Koptsev worked for the SBU and was involved in preparing sabotage on Russian territory.

Lisov was a military serviceman and left his post in order to evade military service.

Both detainees were taken to the State Security Service of Abkhazia, after which they were handed over to Russian FSB officers.
