Arseniy Zamyatin and his wife crashed along with other participants of the tour, which took place near the Vachkazhets volcano.
Information about Zamyatin's death was reported on the website of the Russian Football Union (RFU).
The organization's president, Alexander Dyukov, expressed his condolences to the relatives of the victims.
He shared that he will remember Zamyatin as a man who loved football and strived to make it better.
The RFU will also cover the costs of organizing the funeral of the financial director and his wife.
The tragedy occurred on Saturday, August 31. A group of tourists were visiting the Vachkazhets massif and were supposed to return to the village of Nikolaevka.
The distance from the excursion site to the destination is about 25 km. The tourists were supposed to be taken back by helicopter.
There were 19 passengers and three crew members on board the Mi-8. The pilots stopped communicating shortly after takeoff.
A search was organized. It was later discovered that the helicopter had crashed. Everyone on board had died. The remains of the crash victims were found and handed over to forensic experts.
