The Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kamchatka Territory, Sergei Lebedev, reported that the bodies of the Mi-8 helicopter that crashed in Kamchatka have been found.
It is emphasized that the employees of the authorized services managed to find all the victims.
On his official page on the social network VKontakte, Lebedev wrote: “In half an hour, rescuers will be picked up from the Mi-8 crash site.”
It is also emphasized that the bodies of the deceased will be handed over to forensic experts for subsequent analysis.
In addition, Lebedev announced that the search and rescue operation was completed.
The Minister expressed gratitude to the teams of the Russian Emergencies Ministry who worked at the scene. He also expressed condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims.
Lebedev added: "I thank the pilots, volunteers, rangers, and all-terrain vehicle operators. Thank you, colleagues."
The disappearance of the Mi-8 helicopter was first reported at the end of August of this year.
According to preliminary information, there were 19 passengers and three crew members on board the aircraft. No malfunctions in the operation of the Mi-8 were reported.
