In Komsomolsk-on-Amur, a married couple was detained who starved their own daughter to death.
The young parents have been depriving their daughter of food and drink since June.

They hoped to avoid legal trouble, but were arrested.
The body of an emaciated toddler born in 2021 was found in a home on November 3. Police later arrested the baby's parents.
The mother and father systematically deprived the child of food and drink for long periods of time with the intent of killing him.
The two-year-old girl died from severe malnutrition on Sunday, November 3.
An examination confirmed that the child died due to severe exhaustion.
