The detainees are currently in custody.
Amid the protests, Abkhazian President Aslan Bzhania called an emergency meeting of the Security Council.
The authorities stated that the blocking of the republican road and the closure of key bridges are of a criminal nature.

The authorities consider the actions of the demonstrators, who blocked the main road and two bridges, to be a violation of the law.
