Nizhny Novgorod resident who killed grandmother with a log gets jail time
The punishment that was assigned to a resident of the Nizhny Novgorod region has become known.
For the murder of his grandmother, the man was sentenced to eight years in a maximum security penal colony.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Nizhny Novgorod Region reported this on its official website .
It is noted that the young man was convicted of murder and sentenced to 8 years in prison for the crime he committed.
Circumstances of the case
According to investigators, the murder took place in January of this year in the village of Kaidalovo in the Sosnovsky District of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
In a house on Kaidalovskaya Street, a quarrel broke out between a grandmother and her grandson, as a result of which the latter grabbed a heavy log.
A 27-year-old man struck a 78-year-old pensioner several times with an improvised weapon, causing her serious injuries. The woman died at the scene before the ambulance arrived.
