Muscovite woman disappears without a trace on a mountain trail in Turkey
A 48-year-old Russian woman went missing while walking along a popular tourist route in southwestern Turkey.
For three days now there has been no news about the Moscow resident who arrived for a holiday in Marmaris, Mugla Province.
The Russian woman arrived in Turkey on August 11, writes the Sabah publication. On August 17, the woman went for a walk along the Carian Trail.
This route is popular with tourists who come to this region for vacation.
The Russian woman was supposed to return to Moscow on August 19. But there has been no information about her whereabouts for three days now.
Relatives tried to contact the woman, but to no avail. They contacted the travel agency and the administration of the hotel where the Russian woman was staying.
Local police launched a search. They found from CCTV that the woman had left the hotel on the morning of August 17 and had not returned.
Rescuers and police are currently conducting a search operation with the help of sniffer dogs. They will have to inspect an area of 11 km.
