Kaluga Region Governor Vladislav Shapsha released information that a Mi-28 helicopter had crashed in the region.
It is emphasized that the aircraft crashed in the Zhizdrinsky district.
On his official Telegram channel, Shapsha wrote: “Employees of the task force and rescuers have left for the scene.”
It later became known that a technical malfunction caused the aircraft to crash.
It is indicated that the cause of the crash has been announced preliminary. Authorized experts are monitoring the situation.
The Russian Ministry of Defense later announced that the arrival of authorized services and a rescue team confirmed the death of the crew.
It is emphasized that the Mi-28 helicopter was carrying out a scheduled flight in the Kaluga region.
To date, it has not been reported exactly how many people were on board the crashed aircraft.
