Investigators rule out "chemical" version of death of children who ate dumplings for dinner

The results of the tests of the head of the family and the girl who could not be saved after a dinner of dumplings have become known.

The poisoning was believed to have been caused by substances contained in the fly repellent.

However, no traces of the chemical drug were found in the body of one of the girls, TASS reports, citing the press service of the regional department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

The insecticide was not detected in her father's tests either.

Experts continue to determine the cause of the poisoning of a family of six in Krasnoyarsk Krai.

Fertilizers, chemicals, dishwasher tablets, food scraps, and veterinary drugs were sent for examination.

Law enforcement officers interrogated the owner and seller of the grocery store where the dumplings were purchased.

Investigators also spoke with the district hospital paramedic, relatives of the family and parents of the deceased children, whom doctors were able to save. They are currently under medical supervision.
