St. Petersburg police are searching for the perpetrators who tried to blind the crew of a flight to Chelyabinsk.
Details were reported on Sunday, September 15, on the Telegram channel of the press service of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
An attempt was made to blind the crew of the Saint Petersburg – Chelyabinsk flight during the flight.
The laser beam was spotted at an altitude of 3,000 m, approximately 30 km from the airport.
Despite this, the Pobeda pilots continued their journey safely. The crew of the Boeing 737–800 (B738) was not blinded.
The aircraft headed to Chelyabinsk, and the police received a report of the incident.
Law enforcement officers of the Kolpino district have begun searching for the perpetrators who “attempted to blind” the pilots.
At this stage, the issue of initiating a criminal case is being discussed.
