The hovercraft Khivus collided with a rock on the Severnaya River.
The Russian Emergencies Ministry shared details of the incident on its Telegram channel on Monday.

On the Severnaya River the ship collided with a rock.
There were people on board the boat who were injured as a result of the incident.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as a result of the collision, one person died on the spot and five received injuries of varying severity.
Three victims were hospitalized, the department’s statement emphasized.
The Eastern Interregional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case on the fact of the incident.
During the investigation, investigators will determine whether the safety rules for the movement and operation of inland water transport were violated, which resulted in the death of a person.
