The Supreme Court of Dagestan sentenced a former investigator to three years in prison.

The reason for this decision of the court is the fact that the defendant was noticed extorting a bribe.

The ruling of the court reads: “Sentence the accused to three years of imprisonment in a general regime penal colony,” as reported by RIA Novosti .

In addition, the offender is required to pay a fine of 2.3 million rubles.

The offender was detained on October 25, 2021, during the implementation of the above-mentioned illegal measures.

It is emphasized that during the extortion of a bribe, the former investigator initially demanded 1 million rubles, but ultimately agreed on a sum of 700 thousand rubles.

The person from whom the defendant tried to extort a bribe immediately filed a complaint with the FSB Directorate for Dagestan.
