In Buryatia, two tourists fell off a cliff while trying to escape from a bear
The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Buryatia reported that two tourists fell off a cliff in the Barguzinsky District of the republic while trying to escape from a bear.
It is emphasized that during the escape one of the travelers died and the other was injured.
On their official Telegram channel, the police wrote: "The victims are two men. They were relaxing on the shore of Chivyrkuisky Bay."
It is explained that a wild bear came out of the forest thicket towards the travelers, which frightened them and made them flee.
Predator attack
It is reported that both tourists fell off the cliff while trying to escape from the predator.
Authorized officials arrived at the scene and confirmed the death of one of the travelers.
The second man was found with multiple injuries of varying severity.
At present, investigations are being carried out into this incident and investigative measures are being implemented.
