Identities of those killed in Moscow explosion revealed
New details have emerged about the explosion that occurred in the capital this morning.
The investigation has established the identities of the victims who died during the incident.
The Investigative Committee shared the results obtained during the investigation on its Telegram channel.
As experts found out, the explosive device was planted in an electric scooter, which was located near the entrance of a residential building where the explosion occurred on the morning of December 17.
According to preliminary data, the power of the IED is estimated at 200 grams of TNT equivalent.
As previously reported, the incident claimed the lives of two people, whose identities were eventually established.
The deceased were the head of the radiation, chemical and biological defense troops of the Russian Armed Forces, Igor Kirillov, and his assistant.
Investigators and forensic experts are present at the explosion site. At the moment, specialists are busy studying the recordings from surveillance cameras in order to identify individuals who may be involved in what happened on Ryazansky Prospekt.
