New details about the deaths of Russians in Phuket have become known.
The identities of the deceased were eventually established and their relatives were notified.
RIA Novosti learned about this from representatives of the Russian Consulate General in Phuket.
Let us recall that the day before, a natural disaster occurred in Thailand. As a result of heavy rains, a landslide occurred, which destroyed a tourist villa.
Eight bodies were recovered from the rubble that resulted from the incident. Three of the dead were Thai citizens, and three were Myanmar citizens.
And as a result, the fear that two more victims were Russians was confirmed.
The Consulate General noted that the deceased were Russian citizens - a man born in 1986 and a woman born in 1988.
The relatives of the victims have already been notified of the incident. The department is currently working on repatriating the bodies of the landslide victims to their homeland.
The Consulate General also added that they express their sincere condolences to the families and friends of those killed in the accident.
