Housing and Utilities Service accountant arrested in St. Petersburg in connection with 80 million ruble theft case

Tens of millions of rubles were stolen from the energy company and water utility of St. Petersburg.

The suspect in this case is Lusine Galstyan, an accountant at one of the housing and communal services in the Kirovsky district of the city.

On Friday, July 19, the court placed her under arrest until August 27, the United Press Service of the Courts of St. Petersburg reported on the Telegram channel.

Galstyan is accused of embezzling 80 million rubles from the energy company PAO TGK-1 and the State Unitary Enterprise Vodokanal of St. Petersburg.

The accountant of OOO ZhKS No. 1 Kirovsky District was detained the day before. She does not admit her guilt.

Case details

Investigators claim that Galstyan acted in collusion with other individuals.

They fraudulently transferred at least 20 million rubles to the housing and utilities accounts, which were due to TGK-1 for the provision of services.

The group then transferred this money to the accounts of the organizations they controlled. They did the same with the money from Vodokanal. The second episode involved no less than 60 million rubles.
