A female cell of an international terrorist organization secretly operated in Tatarstan.

The cell members were recruiting Russians into their ranks.

The Public Relations Center (PRC) of the Russian FSB provided details about the activities of an organization banned in the Russian Federation, TASS reports.

According to the FSB, the activities of the secret female cell were stopped.

It turned out that the cell members were spreading the ideology of creating a worldwide caliphate.

They recruited new members into their ranks.

To coordinate their activities and disseminate extremist materials, cell members used communications equipment and electronic media.

Investigative actions in the case are ongoing.

Work is currently underway to establish all participants and possible connections of the cell with other banned organizations.

The FSB Public Relations Center emphasized that the fight against terrorism and extremism remains a priority among the main tasks of law enforcement agencies.
