FSB accuses foreign journalists of illegal border crossing
An incident involving foreign citizens in Russia has become known.
The FSB accused them of violating the state border.
The incident was reported on the official website of the FSB Public Relations Center.
According to investigators, several foreign journalists illegally found themselves on the territory of the Russian Federation.
We are talking about the American journalist Nick Peyton Walsh, as well as two journalists from Ukraine - Borovik Olesya Nikolaevna and Butsko Diana Vladimirovna.
All three crossed the Russian state border without permission and were filming in the Kursk region.
It is noted that this is not an isolated case of state border violation in recent times.
Two Italian journalists, Simoni Traini and Stefani Battistini, were previously arrested under the same article.
The FSB recalled that the sanction of the article for illegal border crossing provides for a punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to five years.
