Former police officers to be punished for extorting bonuses in Vladivostok

In Vladivostok, a former police commander and his former deputy will be tried for extortion. RIA Novosti reports the details, citing the Primorye prosecutor's office.

It is noted that these individuals were engaged in extortion of bonuses from their employees.

The investigation established that illegal actions were carried out by the police from the winter of last year until January of this year.

According to the prosecutor's office, there were 8 victims. They suffered damages in excess of 500 thousand rubles.

They also noted that after the case was opened, the offenders returned the money.

It is added that the prosecutor's office of the Pervorechensky district of Vladivostok approved the indictment against the defendants. The case has now been sent to the Pervorechensky district court.
