Foreigner forges marriage certificate and appropriates Russian woman's apartment in resort town
The visitor tried to pull off a scam in a resort town, but was caught and detained.
The details were reported by the press service of the Krasnodar Territory Prosecutor's Office on its Telegram channel.
The defendant in the case was a 53-year-old foreigner. He brought a fake marriage certificate to the notary with a Russian woman who was already dead at that time.
The deceased left behind an apartment in Sochi, which is valued at more than 10 million rubles. The woman has no relatives.
Therefore, the foreigner decided to become the heir to real estate in the resort town in this way.
As a result, the foreign citizen was detained. A criminal case was opened on the fact of fraud. The materials have already been sent to the Sochi court for consideration on the merits.
The property of the deceased Russian woman was classified as ownerless property and transferred to the city: “The right of ownership to the apartment is registered to the municipality.”
