Dog mauls child in Kuzbass
A high-profile incident involving a child occurred in Kuzbass.
A dog attacked a minor and mauled the girl to death.
The press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kemerovo Region reported this on its Telegram channel.
According to the department, the accident occurred on August 17 in the village of Krasnobrodsky.
The victim of the animal attack was a six-year-old girl who, unfortunately, died at the scene from her injuries.
As the investigation found out, the victim was walking down the street without adult supervision. She entered someone else's property, where a guard dog was leashed.
The animal attacked the minor and caused her injuries incompatible with life.
A criminal case has been opened on the incident under the article on causing death by negligence.
It is noted that the Investigative Committee employees have already visited the scene of the incident, examined it and ordered the necessary forensic examinations.
As noted by the Investigative Committee, based on the information received, an appropriate decision will be made on the need for a prosecutorial response.
