A four-year-old girl was seriously injured in a dog attack.
A large animal attacked the child, causing extensive damage.
Doctors said that they had never encountered such numerous injuries before, the press service of the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital wrote on VKontakte.
The injured child was rescued over the course of four hours.
The head of the children's surgical department, Oleg Larkin, confirmed: “The injuries were severe.”
The child was admitted to hospital with damage to blood vessels and the duodenum, a bitten off right kidney, as well as broken ribs and multiple bites.
Doctors fought for the child's life. They performed a multi-hour operation, removing the kidney, suturing the vessels and intestine.
The little patient had to spend a whole month in hospital.
The child is now on her own two feet. Doctors are preparing the girl for discharge.
