A criminal case was opened after the incident in the shopping center in Simferopol. Details are reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
It is noted that some time after the fire, an investigator detained the director of the trampoline center, who is suspected of organizing work that does not meet safety requirements.
Investigators have established that on Tuesday, repairs were being carried out on the children's trampoline center site using a grinding machine. During the work, sparks from the machine spread to materials that turned out to be flammable. This led to a fire.
According to the department, the Investigative Committee will conduct an investigation into the circumstances and details of the fire.
