Death toll from partial collapse of building in Nizhny Tagil rises to two
In Nizhny Tagil, a search and rescue operation continues after a partial collapse of a building.
New information about the tragedy in the city of the Sverdlovsk region was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in its Telegram channel.
On Thursday, August 1, two entrances of a five-story building located at 81 Sibirskaya Street collapsed in Nizhny Tagil.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the body of another dead woman was pulled out from under the rubble. The death toll from the tragedy has increased to two people.
In total, dozens of people were trapped under the rubble. 15 of them were rescued and handed over to doctors. There are 16 injured people, half of whom are minors.
Nine people were hospitalized. They were sent to hospitals in Yekaterinburg and Nizhny Tagil.
It is known that among those hospitalized there are 5 children. The condition of three of them is assessed as moderate. One small patient is in serious condition.
