Governor Igor Babushkin ordered an investigation into the activities of the night club that came up with the scandalous competition.
In Astrakhan, a night club called “Bunker” distinguished itself by offering visitors the chance to take part in a “naked” dance competition and get a chance to win an iPhone.
The head of the region commented on the situation on Telegram. Babushkin called the incident a "disgrace" that was perpetrated by "insane people who have lost all shame."
"Do they even know what a bunker is? Do they realize what is happening in real bunkers right now, out there on the front lines?" the politician said, calling the contest participants "sold out for an American phone."
Babushkin reported that law enforcement agencies have already responded to the incident. An investigation is underway.
The governor added that it is worth considering the appropriateness and legality of the operation of such establishments in the Russian Federation today.
According to media reports, the essence of the scandalous competition was to take off the largest amount of clothing.
Among the favorites were two young men and two girls who staged full-fledged “naked” dances, reminding the public of Nastya Ivleeva’s scandalous party.
