Police officers have detained a woman for setting fire to three shopping centers in Rostov-on-Don. RIA Novosti reports details, citing a representative of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Rostov Region.
It is noted that shortly after the incident, the suspect, a 33-year-old woman, was detained.
According to police, the woman committed the first two fires using a box containing fireworks.
They also noted that in the third case, a woman spilled gasoline in the shopping center and set it on fire.
According to the representative, the woman admitted that the law enforcement officer allegedly convinced her to commit arson and take out a loan.
It is added that a criminal case has now been opened under the article on hooliganism.
