A moonshine still exploded in a residential building in Vologda

It became known about an emergency that occurred in Vologda.

A moonshine still exploded in one of the apartments in a residential building, damaging two apartments and causing injuries to their residents.

The Russian Emergencies Ministry reported on the incident on Sunday evening on its Telegram channel.

According to preliminary data, the moonshine still was located in an apartment on the second floor of a five-story building in Vologda.

For an as yet unknown reason, there was a bang, causing the partition separating one apartment from another to collapse. At least two apartments were blown apart in the explosion.

It is specified that the load-bearing structures of the building were not damaged as a result of the incident.

According to preliminary data, four residents of the house where the incident occurred were injured. Two of the victims required hospitalization.

To eliminate the consequences of the explosion, 28 rescue service employees arrived at the scene. It is noted that 8 units of special equipment are also involved.
