It has become known that a resident of the Vladimir region has been detained.

The man illegally tried to smuggle night vision devices into Belarus.

RIA Novosti reports this with reference to the press service of the FSB Directorate for the Vladimir Region.

A criminal case was opened against a resident of the Vladimir region under the article on arms smuggling.

Circumstances of the case

As the investigation found out, the accused tried to sell night vision devices using the Avito service.

An unidentified person from Belarus became interested in purchasing the equipment and transferred money to the seller’s bank card in July 2024.

After this, a resident of the Vladimir region tried to send two PNV-57 to the buyer, in connection with which he packed the devices and handed them over to the delivery service of the Internet service. As a result, it was confiscated by FSB officers.

The illegal actions of a resident of the Vladimir region were stopped before the NVGs were moved across the state border.
