A landfill covering an area of 2 thousand square meters caught fire in Novorossiysk
Novorossiysk Mayor Andrey Kravchenko reported that a garbage dump in the city caught fire.
As the official indicated, the fire engulfed approximately two thousand square meters of the landfill.
Kravchenko wrote on his official Telegram channel: “The fire was discovered early this morning.”
At the moment, as the mayor informs, employees of authorized teams are working at the scene of the incident.

An average of twenty people and eight units of special equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
In addition, it is indicated that during the fight against the elements, garbage collection was stopped.
According to Kravchenko, a search is underway for alternative waste disposal solutions at the present time.
The official also indicated that he had gone to the site of the fire together with emergency crews. To date, it remains unknown what exactly caused the fire.
