The seller tried to hide his crime behind a false report, but was arrested.

The man drank dozens of liters of beer and ate almost a kilogram of pistachios, and then came up with a way to explain the shortage.

The incident took place in Kostroma. It all started with a request from a local resident, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Kostroma Region reported on VKontakte.

The complainant was a salesperson at the store. He said that he came to work and saw traces of a break-in at the store.

The door lock was broken, there was no money in the cash register, and some of the goods were missing – snacks and 30 liters of beer.

The police registered the complaint and solved the crime on the spot. The "robber" turned out to be the complainant himself.

The man waited until the owner of the store went on a business trip and made it look like the store had been robbed.

He stole 11 thousand rubles from the cash register and scattered the goods. Later, a shortage of 70 liters of beer and 800 g of nuts was discovered. A criminal case was opened against the seller for theft.
