Officials comment on rumors about schoolchildren being beaten because of the Russian language.

A message on this topic appeared in the Telegram channel of the Department of Preschool and School Education of the Jizzakh Region of Uzbekistan.

The department stated that a conflict between students of School No. 1 in Jizzakh did indeed occur.

But the reason was not language affiliation, but a personal conflict between the students. At the same time, it is indicated that this is a preliminary reason.

It is specified that the conflict occurred between 7th grade students.

The competent authorities are investigating the situation. However, the authorities deny the information that the children were beaten because of the use of the Russian language.

The media previously reported that the students allegedly beat up children who did not speak Uzbek.

This information has become especially relevant due to the fact that recently in one of the schools in Tashkent a teacher beat up a child who asked to conduct a lesson in Russian. The teacher was fined for this.
