Ukrainian diplomat resigns after high-profile scandal with her husband
A scandal has emerged around one of the Ukrainian diplomats.
Emine Dzhaparova decided to resign because of her husband, who is under investigation.
The Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the International Organizations in Vienna shared this information with her followers on the social network Facebook*.
It is noted that the scandal erupted after Gennady Bogolyubov, who is Dzhaparova’s husband, fled abroad.
A criminal case has been opened against the Ukrainian billionaire, and he has been charged with illegally leaving for Poland.
Amid the scandal with her husband, the Permanent Representative decided to leave her post to ensure the safety of herself and her children. She wrote a letter of resignation to the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Dmytro Kuleba.
At the same time, the diplomat herself believes that the situation that has developed around her husband is manipulative and unfair.
