The UK's reaction to the news of the spread of monkeypox has become known.
The country is preparing for the spread of a new strain and is going to take measures in this regard.
The measures are announced on the official website of the UK government.
It is noted that at the moment the authorities assess the risks to the country's residents as minimal, although the WHO has assessed the monkeypox situation as a public health emergency.
However, it is possible that in the near future, monkeypox, known as mpox, could become more dangerous due to the emergence of new strains.
As a result, the agency began preparing for potential consequences, including rapid testing of those infected, preventing the spread of the infection, and developing a protocol to treat monkeys infected with smallpox.
There have been no recorded cases of infection in the UK to date. However, it was previously reported that the disease had left Africa for the first time: monkeypox was discovered in Sweden.
