Türkiye plans to cut number of all-inclusive hotels due to food waste.

According to Mustafa Korkutaty from the Ankara Young Entrepreneurs Association, up to 65 percent of prepared meals are thrown away in such hotels.

Hotels emit an average of 220 to 400 grams per person per day, writes Turkiye Today .

Consumer terrorism costs Turkey 50 billion Turkish lira (almost $1.5 billion) a year.

As part of the new strategy, hotels are expected to be required to cooperate with local restaurants.

Tourists will be taken on evening walks around the city and then taken to restaurants for dinner.

The businessman clarified that the new strategy will help improve the experience of tourists and increase the income of local businesses.

Representatives of the tourism industry have already proposed revising the “all inclusive” format.

They believe that the innovations will make holidays more flexible and profitable for tourists and local businesses.
