Tourists in Pattaya have complained en masse about their vacation and said they are forced to take “oil baths.”

The reason is the heavy pollution of the sea with oil products.

Vacationers reported that a huge oil slick had spread in the water a kilometer from the coastline, as reported by the Abnews portal.

Local authorities thought the problem would resolve itself, but it didn't. Now the pollution is a nuisance to vacationers.

Critical situation

As Pattaya media explained, the crisis has been observed since August 25.

Today, the popular tourist beach of Bang Saray has been almost completely damaged by oil products.

Numerous tourists noted the presence of a sharp unpleasant smell in the specified area. In addition, vacationers shared that the situation shocked them.

Today, there is a mass exodus from the resort area. Authorities admit that the oil slick in the sea appeared after an accident on a large vessel.

Law enforcement officials are conducting an investigation into the above incident.
