Tourist swept out to sea by shark while diving in Indonesia

An incident that took place in Indonesia has been reported.

A woman who was going diving became the victim of a shark.

The Sun reports on the incident. As the tabloid found out, the incident took place on September 26.

Colleen Monfore, 68, of South Dakota, was diving in Indonesia when the unexpected happened.

A woman swimming with six friends near Pulau Reong Island was swept out to sea by a strong current.

The search for the missing woman continued for eight days, but as a result, rescuers were unable to find the woman's body. It was decided to stop the operation due to unfavorable sea conditions.

However, in the end, chance helped to find out what happened to the victim.

The horrific discovery was made by fishermen who caught a shark in neighboring East Timor. According to them, the fish was behaving abnormally, so it was decided to cut it open to find out the reason.

As a result, the remains of a wetsuit and the remains of a human body, identified as the missing Colleen Monforet, were found in the shark's stomach.
