A young Bulgarian woman will go to prison for the massacre of her famous relative.
We are talking about the granddaughter of the Bulgarian actress Violeta Doneva, who was famous not only in her homeland, but also in Russia.
Ivetta Staykova committed a serious crime at the age of 18. In October 2022, she stabbed her 79-year-old grandmother 54 times, BNR reports.
Staykova committed this crime under the influence of prohibited substances.
Now the heiress of the famous family has been sentenced. The girl was sentenced to 17 years in prison.
The lawyers tried to convince the court to give her a more lenient sentence, but the prosecutor called for leniency to be abandoned in this case, emphasizing that the student dealt with her grandmother with particular cruelty and was under the influence of drugs.
The court found the prosecutor's arguments to be justified. However, the convicted woman retained the right to appeal the verdict.
