The King of Spain was in the regions of the country most affected by the flooding that is currently taking place in the country.

The monarch was forced to cut short his visit when he encountered discontent among his subjects.

The ABC television channel reported on the incident. The incident occurred when Philip VI and his wife Letizia were in the suburbs of the city of Paiportu in Valencia.

Let us recall that Valencia is one of the worst-hit regions in Spain, where the flooding caused the most destruction.

The king and queen were met by an angry crowd of people who were unhappy with the fact that army units had arrived in the city to clear it of dirt before the king's arrival.

People offended by this began to insult and throw dirt at the monarch and his retinue, which included Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, and a stick was thrown at one of the high-ranking guests.

It is noted that, in addition to Paiporta, the king also intended to visit the city of Chiva, but this visit was postponed indefinitely.
