The Russian's trip was cancelled due to a decision by Turkish Airlines.

The tourist himself, who was effectively blacklisted by the company, shared the details.

The incident happened to Russian citizen Gleb Shatkov. He was going to Panama with a transfer in Istanbul, RIA Novosti reports.

He bought a ticket for a Turkish Airlines flight from Montenegro. But at the Turkish airport he was not allowed to board.

After being denied entry to the flight, he was subjected to inspection. For several hours, they studied his accounts and learned about the purpose of the flight.

Shatkov added that other Russians were not allowed on board either. He himself lost three thousand euros on tickets.

In addition, he was sent a notice about a ban on flights to a number of countries until almost the end of September 2025.

Russians will not be able to fly Turkish Airlines to a number of South American countries for a year.

The exact reason was not specified. Several possible reasons were mentioned: refusal by the Panamanian authorities, lack of necessary documents and data for the trip, and the possibility that the passenger will not be allowed into the country he is going to.

The man said he would try to reach the Latin American country via the UAE.
