Plane with Russians on board shot down in Sudan

A plane crashed in the south of the country, with Russian citizens believed to be on board.
RIA Novosti journalists were informed about the incident by the Russian diplomatic mission in Sudan.
As the embassy clarified, the diplomatic mission is currently cooperating with the Sudanese authorities in order to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.
It is emphasized that the problem lies in the location of the plane crash. The aircraft crashed in the Darfur region, where active military actions are underway.
Let us recall that since last year, the political situation in Sudan has been unstable. The Rapid Reaction Force (RRF) under the command of Mohammed Hamdan Daglo is engaged in fierce battles with the regular army of Sudan.
The SBR previously reported that an Il-76 cargo plane had been shot down, with Russian citizens on board, according to their information.
